Woodhenge

Woodhenge is an interactive reconstruction of the large solar calendar structure erected in the ancient North American city of Cahokia.  The site is located just East of modern day Saint Louis, MO and was home to people of the Mississippian Culture from around 1050 - 1350 CE.  This reconstruction shows the Woodhenge as it would have looked around 1000 CE.  It is thought to have marked important points during the year like the equinox and solstice.
